Corey Baird Nets Goal Off Rebound Against SKC

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Real Salt Lake equalized late in the first half as forward Corey Baird chipped in a goal past Sporting Kansas City to tie the match at one.
The goal came in the 38th minute when Albert Rusnak attempted a free kick about 20 yards from the goal. The ball hit the crossbar and bounced to Baird, who put the ball away past the Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper.
It’s the second goal of the season for Baird, who was named the 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year.

Baird tied the game at one. Sporting Kansas City took the lead in the 31st minute when Johnny Russell scored.
Later in the match after RSL scored, SKC had a chance to take the lead once again with a penalty kick that bounced off the side post.

RSL is currently in sixth place in the Western Conference standings, three points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy for fifth place and only one point ahead of FC Dallas.
