SANDY, Utah – After a great start to the match, Utah Royals FC couldn’t get another goal falling to the defending NWSL champions North Carolina Courage 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The Royals got on the scoreboard first with a brilliant goal by Christen Press in the 13th minute as Veronica Boquete set up the shot just outside the 18-yard box and Press fired the shot with her right foot, sending the ball to the far post.
Itās the third goal of the season for Press and her second straight game scoring a goal after scoring in the first half against Portland last week.
