HOLLYWOOD, California – Do you believe you are the best running back in the Pac-12? Do you believe you are the best pass rusher in the Pac-12?

Yes. That is the answer both Zack Moss, University of Utah running back, and Bradlee Anae, Utah defensive end, gave when asked about their abilities.

At Pac-12 Media Day in Hollywood California, the Utes were picked to win the Pac-12 Title in a poll voted on by 35 members of the media. A Pac-12 win likely means a Rose Bowl berth.

The team also led the way with five players picked to the preseason Pac-12 All-Conference first team. They had two players make it on second team.

Zack Moss

Moss was the only offensive player from Utah to be selected to the preseason Pac-12 All-Conference First Team. He is entering his senior season with the Utes following a decision to stay in school rather than enter the NFL Draft.

“First off, I really just wanted to get my degree,” said Moss but also admitting there was still some “unfinished business” like possibly winning the conference, “we didn’t want to go out with a salty taste in our mouth.”

When asked who the best running back in the Pac-12 is – Moss didn’t hesitate, “definitely me, and I say that in the most humble way.”

Why does he believe that?

“I think I bring something different to the table, the guys around the Pac-12 do a lot of good things…I think my mentality on how I approach and prepare for the game is unmatched. The way I can block, the way I can run the ball…just be elusive in everything I do,” Moss explained the confidence in himself.

Bradlee Anae

Anae also made the preseason Pac-12 All-Conference First Team alongside fellow defensive lineman Leki Fotu and defensive backs Julian Blackmon and Jaylon Johnson.

When asked if he is the best pass rusher in the Pac-12 Anae answered, “Yes, I believe I am.”

Teams consistently called Utah the most physical team in the Pac-12 at media day this year, saying it is sometimes hard to practice the week after you play Utah. Bradlee Anae’s hits are a big part of the tough, physical defense.

“Teams think they’re physical and then they play us,” said Anae.
