SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Jazzman Joe Johnson continues to be the early MVP favorite leading the Triplets to a 4-0 start.

The Big3 is in their third season, founded by icon rapper Ice Cube, which features three-on-three basketball with players that had successful careers in the NBA or overseas.

They have 8 teams, which includes 3 Headed Monsters, Trilogy, Power, 3’s Company, Bivouac, Enemies, Aliens, Triplets, Killer 3s, Tri-State, Ghost Ballers and Ball Hogs.

Johnson had 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, while hitting one 3-pointer and one 4-pointer in the Triplets 50-37 win over Tri-State. The game-winning shot from Johnson was from the 4-point spot.

The game does not have a time limit with the first team to score 25 points will send the game to halftime and the first team to score 50 points will win the game, but they have to win by two points.

Eight players play for the Big3 that have either played for the Utah Jazz at some point in their career, and one player played one season at Weber State.

Here is how those players performed in the fourth week of the Big3 season:

Andre Owens, Aliens (1-3)

Owens dropped 4 points and 5 rebounds for the Aliens as they lost to the Enemies 50-39. Greg Oden led the team with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Craig Smith scored 19 points for Enemies. Owens played for the Jazz in the 2005-06 season.

The Aliens will face the Ghost Ballers (2-2) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday at 11 a.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Brandon Rush, Aliens (1-3)

Rush scored 7 points and pulled down 6 rebounds to go with his 3 steals in the Aliens’ 50-39 loss to the Enemies. He spent the 2013-14 season with the Jazz.

The Aliens will face the Ghost Ballers (2-2) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday at 11 a.m. on CBS Sports Network.

DeShawn Stevenson, Ball Hogs (0-4)

Stevenson scored 5 points, including one three pointer as they fell to 3’s Company 50-38. The Jazz drafted Stevenson with the 23rd overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft. He played with the Jazz until 2004. Will McDonald had 18 points to lead the Ball Hogs, while Andre Emmett scored 17 points for 3’s Company.

The Ball Hogs will challenge Killer 3’s (3-1) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday at 12 p.m. on CBS.

Carlos Boozer, Ghost Ballers (2-2)

Boozer did not play in the Ghost Ballers 50-36 loss to Power. Ricky Davis led the team with 10 points, while Jamario Moon added 9 points. Corey Maggette scored 23 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Power with Julian Wright chipping in 17 points. Boozer played for the Jazz from 2004-10.

The Ghost Ballers will take on the Aliens (1-3) on Sunday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 11 a.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Franklin Sessions, Killer 3’s (3-1)

Sessions had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the Killer 3’s 50-48 loss to Trilogy. Donte Greene led the team with 18 points, while Stephen Jackson added 12. Sessions played one season with Weber State in 2010 with Damian Lillard.

Killer 3’s will face Ball Hogs (0-4) on Sunday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 12 p.m. on CBS.

Carlos Arroyo, Trilogy (2-2)

Arroyo scored 4 points in Trilogy’s 50-48 win over Killer 3’s. David Hawkins led the team with 21 points. Arroyo spent three years in Salt Lake City in a Jazz uniform.
