Jimmer Fredette Reaches Deal In Principle To Play In Greece

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – According to Eurohoops.net, former BYU star Jimmer Fredette has reached a deal in principle with Panathinaikos in Greece.
The 30-year-old is expected to sign a two-year deal with the club.
Fredette was recently playing for the Golden State Warriors summer league team when he left the team during the California Classic to avoid injury as he was weighing his options overseas.

Panathinaikos was looking to add a scoring guard to their roster and they found a great scoring threat in Fredette. He was the 10th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Fredette played for the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Westchester of the NBA G-League and the New York Knicks before playing three seasons in China with the Shanghai Sharks.
After the 2019 season in China, Fredette signed with the Phoenix Suns for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
Eurohoops reported on Monday that Fredette received a two year contract offer from China worth $2.5 million.
In his first summer league game with the Warriors, he scored 14 points and dropped five points in the second game.
