Eric Mika Getting Summer League Opportunity With Sacramento Kings

PROVO, Utah – Former BYU basketball star Eric Mika is getting another opportunity in the NBA. Mika will be competing on the Sacramento Kings summer league roster in the California Classic and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Mika’s personal trainer Guss Armstead congratulated Mika on social media for earning a spot with the Kings Summer League roster.

The past two years Mika has played for Lega Serie A in Italy. Mika declared for professional basketball after his sophomore season at BYU.
In 2017, Mika competed on the Miami Heat Summer League squad in Orlando and Las Vegas. Mika averaged 13.1 minutes per game in the two summer leagues and scored 5.4 points per game in five games played.
The Sacramento Kings were a franchise that worked out Mika two times in the Pre-Draft workout process leading up to the 2017 NBA Draft.
Mika and his Sacramento Summer League teammates will take on Jimmer Fredette and the Golden State Warriors Summer League squad on July 1st in Sacramento. On July 2nd, the Kings will take on the Miami Heat, and then July 3rd they’ll face the Los Angeles Lakers before traveling to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League.
BYU will have three former basketball players competing in the NBA Summer League this July. Elijah Bryant will be on the Milwaukee Bucks summer league roster.

In his two seasons at BYU, Mika averaged 16.1 points per game, 7.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and shot 53-percent from the field. In Mika’s sophomore year, the talented center was one of the leading scorers in college basketball averaging 20.3 points per game and nine rebounds a contest.
