SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Most of the slate for the Utah Jazz’s summer league schedule has been announced. The team will play three summer league games in Salt Lake City before departing to Las Vegas for a guaranteed five games and possibly more in Sin City.

In the action in the newly-branded Salt Lake City Summer, formerly known as the Utah Jazz Summer League, the Jazz will take on the Memphis Grizzlies, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs in order in games played July 1-3.

After the brief showcase in Utah, the Jazz will head to Vegas to face the Oklahoma City on July 6, the Miami Heat on July 7, the Portland Trail Blazers on July 9, and then the Houston Rockets on July 11. The Jazz’s first three games will played at the Cox Pavilion with the fourth being scheduled at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Following the four games in Vegas, the league will seed the teams and play a single-elimination tournament.

Summer league teams are usually filled with draft picks, undrafted free agents, G League players and free agents with the occasional second or third year player getting some minutes as well.

The Jazz’s 2019 draft picks, Jarrett Brantley, Justin Wright-Foreman and Miye Oni are expected to be on the team’s roster for the summer league. According to reports, the team has also penned former Indiana guard Juwan Morgan to a summer league deal. The rest of the roster will be announced at a later date.

Ja Morant, the No. 2 overall pick by Memphis in Thursday’s draft is expected to miss the SLC Summer League and the Summer League in Vegas.
