SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – According to numerous reports, Utah’s Donnie Tillman will be returning to school after recently testing the NBA waters.
Tillman, who was honored as the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year last season as a sophomore, declared his intention to enter the draft pool and receive an evaluation weeks ago but has since decided that it would be in his best interest to head back to Utah.
Last week, Tillman went through a pre-draft workout with the Utah Jazz. While Jazz vice president of player personnel praised Tillman for his physical gifts, he added that he still has plenty to work on to improve his potential draft chances.

“His shot was probably a little inconsistent so he’ll work on that to go further in his profession. But he showed a lot of energy,” said Perrin.
Tillman joins a few other local college stars who have gone through at least some of the pre-draft process before deciding to return to school. Utah State’s Neemias Queta and Weber State’s Jerrick Harding also made similar announcements earlier this week.
The NBA Draft will take place on June 20.
