Utah’s Dunkle Playing Well; BYU’s Team Struggling At NCAA Golf Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Utah’s Kyler Dunkle is playing well as his team’s lone representative at the NCAA golf championships.
At the midway point of the tournament, which is being played at Blessings Golf Club in Arkansas, Dunkle sits in a tie for fourth along with three other players. Dunkle’s score through two rounds is 140, or 4-under.
Oklahoma State’s Austin Eckroat is alone at the top of the leaderboard with a score of 6-under.

The course is proving to be a challenge for most of the field. Only eight players have scored under par in the first two rounds.
As a team, the Cowboys have a commanding 11-shot lead at 12-under. BYU, which qualified as a team for the championships, is well down the leaderboard in 30th place with a score of 19-over.
The team tournament will continue through Wednesday. The individual championship will be decided on Monday.
