PORTLAND, Ore. – According to reports, former Weber State and current Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is expected to sign a super-max extension with the organization during the off-season.
Yahoo! Sports reported the possible move for the Blazers and Lillard, less than 24 hours after Portland was swept in the Western Conference Finals by the Golden State Warriors.
Lillard has two years remaining on his current contract, his extension would take effect in 2021. The amount on the extension is projected to be worth $193 million over four years.

After being swept in the first round the last two seasons, Lillard led the Blazers to their first conference finals appearance in 19 years. He hit a 37-foot three-pointer in Game 5 of their first round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the buzzer to send Portland into the second round.
He is almost a lock to be named to one of the three All-NBA teams, which will make him eligible to sign a super-max extension this off-season. If Lillard waits until 2020, he could sign a five year extension worth another $57 million, bringing his projected total to $250 million over five years.
The Oakland, California native averaged 25.8 points and 6.9 assists this season.
