Hood Shines Early For Portland In Game 6

PORTLAND, Oreg. – In a short amount of time, former Utah Jazzman Rodney Hood has made a big impact for the Portland Trail Blazers in their Game 6 matchup against the Denver Nuggets.
Just five minutes after checking into the game for the first time in Thursday’s contest against the Nuggets, Hood already had racked up 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting.
His strong early shooting effort was highlight by a nice spin move in the lane leading to an open layup.

Thanks to Hood’s strong scoring efforts of 14 first half points, along with 11 points by former Weber State star and 15 points by CJ McCollum, the Blazers led the Nuggets 58-54 at halftime.
With Denver up three games to two going into Game 6, the Blazers and Hood face possible elimination.
Hood has played well in the series, averaging 14.4 points per game and was the hero of Game 3 by scoring the go-ahead basket in the final seconds.
He was drafted by the Jazz in the 2014 NBA Draft and was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a deal that involved Jae Crowder in the 2017-18 season. Hood was again dealt to Portland in a trade deadline deal this season.
