SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Utes have bolstered their outside shooting by signing Alfonso Plummer, one of the top JUCO shooters in the nation.
“Alfonso is a great young man who will fit into our culture and system very well,” said head coach Larry Krystkowiak in a press release. “He is a great shooter. He has had quite the journey so far, and we are happy to have him join our program.”
Plummer, a native of Puerto Rico, was an All-American shooting guard at Arizona Western Community College last season. Plummer led the NJCAA Region I with 126 3-pointers made while leading the Matadors to a berth in the national tournament.
