No. 6-seed Raging Bull was released in 1980, starring Robert De Niro about the life of boxer Jake LaMotta, as the violence and temper that leads him to the top in the ring, but destroys his life outside of it.
The 1988 film Eight Men Out is the No. 27-seed with star John Cusack that features a dramatization of the Black Sox scandal when the underpaid Chicago White Sox accepted bribes to deliberately lose the 1919 World Series.
