SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz used a big third quarter combined with great performances from their bigs to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 115-100.

Rudy Gobert led the Jazz with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. Derrick Favors poured in 20 points and 6 rebounds, while Joe Ingles contributed 11 points, 9 rebounds and a career-high 14 assists.

Donovan Mitchell struggled as he finished with 11 points on 3-of-11 shooting from the field.

Former Ute Kyle Kuzma scored 21 points to lead the Lakers. JaVale McGee had 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Favors, Gobert Lead Jazz In First Half

Utah had a seven point lead at the end of the first quarter, led by Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert with 8 points apiece.

Kuzma dropped 12 points in the opening period.

The Lakers stayed close to the Jazz in the second quarter, but could never get closer than five points. Late in the period, Utah jumped out to a 10-point lead.
