Unselfish Jazz Win Fourth Straight With Victory Over Wizards

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Utah Jazz shared the ball well en route to a major 116-95 victory over the Washington Wizards.
On 49 made field goals, the Jazz had 35 assists, one of their highest marks of the season. On the year, the Jazz are 15-4 when collecting at least 30 assists.
In the win, Jazz guard Ricky Rubio was the key distributor with 10 assists. As far as knocking down shots went, several Jazzmen shined. Joe Ingles had a strong game with four 3-pointers made while Donovan Mitchell and Kyle Korver had three triples each.
“We’ve got unselfish guys,” said Ingles after the game. “We move the ball, obviously making shots helps the end of that. But all season, we’ve had an unselfish team, we enjoy playing together and I think it shows when we play the way we did tonight.”
By The Numbers
It was a complete team effort by the Jazz. In fact, all 12 active players on the Jazz roster got into the game and contributed at least one basket each.

Mitchell led the way with 19 points.
Rudy Gobert, who was honored as the Western Conference Player of the Week earlier in the day, finished with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Favors Injured
The Jazz did suffer a setback though. At halftime, it was announced that Derrick Favors, who had been playing the best basketball of his career of late for the Jazz, would have to miss the rest of the game with right hamstring tightness.

Playoff Implications
The win over Washington puts Utah in a tie for sixth place with the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference playoff race. The victory gives Utah a record of 41-29.
Next Up
Currently on a four-game winning streak, the Jazz will next head to the Big Apple to take on the New York Knicks on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
