SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Pac-12 Conference released their All-Pac-12 teams as the regular season wrapped up over the weekend. The players were voted in by the 12 coaches in the conference.

Utah Utes point guard Sedrick Barefield was named first team All-Pac-12 after averaging a team-best 17.2 points per game overall and 18.7 points per game in league play. His scoring average was the fifth best in the Pac-12. Barefield shot 41 percent from the field and 38 percent from downtown, while posting 115 assists and 29 steals.

The senior reached 1,000 points in his career earlier this season, while dropping 516 points during his last season with the Utes. He was the fifth Utah player in the last six years to score at least 500 points in a season. Barefield drilled 92 three-pointers, which is the third most in a single-season in school history.

He is the fifth Ute in the last six years to be named first team All-Pac-12, joining Delon Wright in 2014 and 2015, Jakob Poeltl in 2016, Kyle Kuzma in 2017 and Justin Bibbins in 2018.

The other players in the conference to be named to the first team include, Tyler Bey from Colorado, USC’s Bennie Boatwright, Zylan Cheatham from Arizona State, Washington State’s Robert Franks, Jaylen Nowell from Washington, Stanford’s KZ Okpala, Matisse Thybulle from Washington, Oregon State’s Tres Tinkle and McKinley Wright IV from Colorado.

The conference named five players to the second team that include, Luguentz Dort from Arizona State, UCLA’s Jaylen Hands, Remy Martin from Arizona State, Oregon State’s Stephen Thompson Jr. and UCLA’s Kris Wilkes.

Freshman forward Timmy Allen was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team, after averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Allen is second on the team in field goal percentage with 58 percent shooting. The Mesa, Arizona native is the first-ever Utah player to be named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team.

The other four freshmen named to the team were Moses Brown from UCLA, Luguentz Dort from Arizona State, Washington State’s C.J. Elleby and Louis King from Oregon.

Five players were named to the All-Defensive team, including ASU duo Zylan Cheatham and Luguentz Dort, Kylor Kelley from Oregon State, Matisse Thybulle from Washington and Kenny Wooten from Oregon.

The Utes are the No. 3-seed in the Pac-12 Tournament. They will play the winner of No. 6 Oregon and No. 11 Washington State on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
