Donovan Mitchell Appears At Utah-UCLA Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell created a bit of a buzz at the Huntsman Center by showing up to watch the Utah Utes take on the UCLA Bruins.

Mitchell, who has led the Jazz to a 37-28 record this season while averaging 23.5 points per game, regularly appears at various collegiate and even high school basketball games in the Salt Lake valley, endearing him even more to the local community.

During Utah’s 2018 football season, Mitchell and a few Jazz teammates attended Utah’s home contest against Washington. Although he attended the University of Louisville, he was still presented with a personalized jersey, which he donned proudly during the game.

Not too much later, Mitchell and crew made the trek up to Logan to watch a Utah State football game.

Mitchell was selected with the 13^th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2017 NBA Draft and was immediately traded to Utah, where he almost instantly became the team’s most popular player.

The game between Utah and UCLA had major Pac-12 implications as a win would secure a first round bid for the Utes in the conference tournament next week in Las Vegas.

After a tough loss at Memphis, Mitchell and the Jazz will return home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
