Grayson Allen Throws Down Huge Alley-Oop For SLC Stars

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz rookie Grayson Allen brought down the house with a monstrous alley-oop finish while on assignment with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League.
Allen, who was almost immediately recalled by the parent-club Jazz after the Stars game against the Iowa Wolves, showed off some the athleticism that made him a high-school slam dunk contest winner before he starred at Duke en route to becoming a first-round NBA Draft pick.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Allen took a high pass from Jazz two-way player Naz Mitrou-Long and flushed it down with authority with one hand to give the Stars a 101-100 lead.

It was the seventh appearance of the season with the Stars for Allen, who finished with 16 points in the 121-117 overtime victory over the Wolves.
It was a well-need run for Allen, who has only appeared in 28 games for the Jazz this season with an average of 4.1 points per game. His last appearance for Utah was on Feb. 9 in garbage time during a 20-point win over San Antonio.

Allen was drafted by Utah with the 21st overall selection in last summer’s NBA Draft.
In seven games for the Stars, Allen has averaged 15.7 points on 43.2 percent shooting.
The Stars will next face the Agua Caliente Clippers on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bruin Arena on the SLCC Redwood Campus.
