SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A number of former Utah Jazz players were on the move during the NBA trade deadline and in the days leading up to the deadline on Thursday.

The Jazz themselves did not make a move at the trading deadline, although numerous reports indicate that they were trying to get a deal done.

Shelvin Mack

Former Jazz point guard Shelvin Mack was traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Atlanta Hawks for Tyler Dorsey.

Mack was acquired by the Jazz during the 2015-16 season and played through the 2016-17 season with the team. He averaged 9.5 points per game with 3.7 assists in 83 games with the Jazz.

Alec Burks

Former Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks was sent from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-way trade that also involved the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Burks was also traded earlier in the year by the Jazz in exchange for Kyle Korver. He was drafted by the Jazz with the 12th overall pick in the 2011 draft. In eight seasons in a Jazz uniform, he averaged 9.6 points per game. His best year came in the 2013-14 season when he averaged 14 points per game.

Rodney Hood

Another former Jazz guard Rodney Hood was also dispatched away from the Cavs to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin IV and two second-round draft picks on Feb. 3.

Hood was selected by the jazz with the 23rd overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. In four seasons with the Jazz, he averaged 13.1 points per game. He was traded as part of a deal for current Jazz forward Jae Crowder at last year’s trade deadline.

Trey Burke

Former Jazz lottery pick Trey Burke was involved in the Jan. 31 blockbuster trade between the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks for injured superstar Kristaps Porzingis. Like Porzingis, Burke will now be wearing a Mavericks uniform.

After winning college player of the year at Michigan, Burke was drafted with the ninth overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2013 Draft and then immediately traded to Utah. In three season with Utah, he averaged 12.1 points and 4.2 assists per game.
