LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Utah Jazz rolled to their fifth-straight win with an 129-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

It was a complete defensive showing by the Jazz, led by Rudy Gobert, who finished with four blocks in the game.

Even Utah’s two-way G League star Georges Niang got in on the defensive intensity with a huge block on a would-be dunk by Patrick Beverley.

Jazz Coast To Win

After a back-and-forth start to the game, the Jazz separated themselves by building an 11-point lead in the first quarter. By the end of the period, the lead was nine as they Jazz held a 31-22 advantage after the first period.

The second quarter featured an exciting moment as Jazz sharpshooter Kyle Korver quickly hit a 3-pointer while being fouled. He converted the four-point play to give Utah a 33-22 lead. At the half time break, the Jazz led 56-49.

The Jazz offense exploded for another 30-plus point quarter in the third thanks to 12 points in the period by Donovan Mitchell.

With a secure 88-72 lead going into the final period, the Jazz coasted to the win in the fourth.

By The Numbers

With 26 points, Mitchell surpassed the 25-point mark for the seventh straight game.

Rudy Gobert had yet another double-double with 23 points and 22 rebounds. It was the second straight game for Gobert with 20-plus rebounds.

“It’s great,” said Gobert. “But I’m just focused on winning.”

Korver had a fantastic game off the bench with 19 points with four 3-pointers made.

Derrick Favors also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
