Utah, BYU Extend Football Series Through 2024

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah and Brigham Young University announced that they have extended their home and home football series another two years through 2024.
The two teams were under contract until 2022 before the extension.
They announced the schedule for entire contract:
- August 29, 2019 in Provo
- September 3, 4 or 5, 2020 in Salt Lake City
- September 11, 2021 in Provo
- September 3, 2022 in Salt Lake City
- September 16, 2023 in Provo
- September 7, 2024 in Salt Lake City
Utah has won the last eight meetings against the Cougars, including a 35-27 win back in November at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The last time that BYU beat Utah was in 2009, when they picked up a 26-23 victory in overtime.
The two teams have played each other 93 times since 1922. Utah leads the series 58-31-4.
The Utes finished the 2018 season with a 9-5 record, they lost to Washington in the Pac-12 Championship game and was defeated by Northwestern in the Holiday Bowl.
BYU ended their 2018 year with a 7-6 record after they beat Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
BYU and Utah have extended their home and home football series another two years through 2024.
