Bobby Wagner Has Best Game Of Year In Loss To Rams

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Although his Seahawks lost a close game to the Los Angeles Rams, Bobby Wagner turned in his best game of the season with 13 combined tackles.

Former BYU quaterback Taysom Hill continued to make NFL highlights when he broke out the truck stick on rushing attempt for the Saints.

Former Utah great Alex Smith helped his Redskins advance to 6-3 on the season with a near-shutout of the Buccaneers.

Here’s how all the former college stars from Utah performed in Week 10 of the NFL season:

Former Utes

Isaac Asiata – Dolphins (5-5)
In his first action of the season, Asiata appeared on field for four special teams snaps.

Zane Beadles – Falcons (4-6)
In his second game of the year, Beadles made it to the field for two special teams snaps.
NEXT UP: vs. Cowboys (4-5), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX

Tony Bergstrom – Redskins (6-3)
Bergstrom got the start at right guard and played every offensive snap.
NEXT UP: vs. Texans (6-3), Sunday at 11 a.m. on CBS.

Dominique Hatfield – Rams (9-1)
Hatfield was on field for 18 special teams snaps in the Rams’ 36-31 win over the Seahawks.
NEXT UP: vs. Chiefs (9-1) in Mexico City, Monday at 6:15 on ESPN.

Star Lotulelei – Bills (3-7)
The former Ute defensive lineman played in 22 defensive snaps and two special teams plays in the Bills’ crushing 41-10 win over the Jets.
NEXT UP: BYE

Derrick Shelby – Falcons (4-6)
Shelby got the most playing time he’s gotten all season, playing in 25 defensive snaps and four special teams snaps in the Falcons’ upset loss to the Browns. He made a season-high three solo tackles and one assisted tackle in the game.
NEXT UP: vs. Cowboys (4-5), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX

Alex Smith – Redskins (6-3)
Smith finished with 178 yards on 19-of-27 passing with a touchdown pass to Josh Doctson in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Buccaneers. Washington beat Tampa Bay 16-3 on the road.
NEXT UP: vs. Texans (6-3), Sunday at 11 a.m. on CBS.

Sam Tevi – Chargers (7-2)
Tevi started and played in 37 snaps at right tackle in the Chargers’ 20-6 win over the Raiders. He did, however, have to exit the game with a head injury and is questionable for next week’s game against the Broncos.
NEXT UP: vs. Broncos (3-6), Sunday at 2:05 p.m. on CBS.

Marcus Williams – Saints (8-1)
Williams reeled in his first interception of the season off Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton and ran it back 78 yards. He also finished with four total tackles and a pass deflection in the Saints’ big win over the Bengals.
NEXT UP: vs. Eagles (4-5), Sunday at 2:25 p.m. on FOX.

Former Aggies

Maurice Alexander – Seahawks (4-5)
Alexander made two solo tackles in the Seahawks close loss to the Rams.
NEXT UP: vs. Packers (4-4-1), Thursday at 6:20 p.m. on FOX.

Kyler Fackrell – Packers (4-4-1)
The former Aggie linebacker sacked Dolphins quarterback Brock Osweiler and registered four solo tackles in Green Bay’s 31-12 win over Miami.
NEXT UP: at Seahawks (4-5), Thursday at 6:20 p.m. on FOX.

Tyler Larsen – Panthers (6-3)
In Thursday’s 52-21 loss to the Steelers, Larsen played in 17 snaps at center.
NEXT UP: at Lions (3-6), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX.

Nevin Lawson – Lions (3-6)
Lawson registered a season high five solo tackles in the Lions’ loss to Chicago.
NEXT UP: vs. Panthers (6-3), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX.

Patrick Scales – Bears (6-3)
Scales handled nine long snaps for the Bears in their win over the Lions at home.
NEXT UP: vs. Vikings (5-3-1), Sundaay at 6:20 p.m. on KSL.

Bobby Wagner – Seahawks (4-5)
Wagner had his best game of the season in a close loss to the Rams. He finished with 13 total tackles, 10 of which were unassisted with a hit on Rams QB Jared Goff.
NEXT UP: vs. Packers (4-4-1), Thursday at 6:20 p.m. on FOX.

Former Cougars

Ziggy Ansah – Lions (3-6)
In limited action, Ansah had one solo tackle in the Lions’ loss on the road to the Bears.
NEXT UP: vs. Panthers (6-3), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX.

Michael Davis – Chargers (7-2)
Davis registered his first pass deflection of the season against David Carr and made four total tackles in the Chargers’ blowout win over the Raiders.
NEXT UP: vs. Broncos (3-6), Sunday at 2:05 p.m. on CBS.

John Denney – Dolphins (5-5)
Denney handled seven long snaps for the Dolphins in their loss to Green Bay.
NEXT UP: BYE

Taysom Hill – Saints (8-1)
Taysom Hill continued to do Taysom Hill things for the Saints against the Bengals. He rushed the ball four times including one run that ended in a crushing collision with Bengals linebacker Jordan Evans. He finished with 24 yards on the ground.
NEXT UP: vs. Eagles (4-5), Sunday at 2:25 p.m. on FOX.

Daniel Sorensen – Chiefs (9-1)
In his first action of the season, Sorensen finished with five combined tackles, two which were unassisted in the Chiefs’ 26-14 win over the Cardinals.
NEXT UP: vs. Rams (9-1) in Mexico City, Monday at 6:15 on ESPN.

Kyle Van Noy – Patriots (7-3)
Van Noy had his best game of the season in the Patriots upset loss to the Titans. He finished with 13 combined tackles, including five solo takedowns in the loss.
NEXT UP: BYE

Fred Warner – 49ers (2-7)
Warner is expected to suit for San Francisco in a Monday Night Football showdown with the Giants. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
NEXT UP: BYE

Jamaal Williams – Packers (4-4-1)
Williams managed just three yards on three carries for the Packers in a 31-12 win over the Dolphins.
NEXT UP: at Seahawks (4-5), Thursday at 6:20 p.m. on FOX.

Former Thunderbirds

Miles Killebrew – Lions (3-6)
Killebrew played in 22 special teams snaps for the Lions in a 34-22 loss to the Chicago Bears.
NEXT UP: vs. Panthers (6-3), Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX.

LeShaun Sims – Titans (5-4)
The Titans shocked the Patriots in a 34-10 win. Sims turned in an assisted tackle in the victory.
NEXT UP: at Colts (4-5), Sunday at 11 a.m. on CBS.

Former Wildcats

Taron Johnson – Bills (3-7)
Johnson registered two solo tackles in the Bills win over the Jets. He was forced to leave the game early with an injured shoulder and is considered questionable for next week’s game.
