Utah Sweeps Pac-12 Player Of The Week Awards

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Pac-12 Conference announced their Player of the Week awards for week 8 with the University of Utah collecting all three awards.
This is the fourth time that one team has won all three honors in the same week in Conference history. It is the first time since the Conference expanded from 10 teams to 12 teams in 2011.
The Utes are coming off of a dominating 41-28 win over USC, their third straight win and are in first place in the Pac-12 South Division.

Offensive Player Of The Week
Quarterback Tyler Huntley completed 75 percent of his pass attempts (22-29) for 341 passing yards, tying his career high. He also threw four touchdowns passes and ran in another score to go with 33 yards on the ground.
This is the first time that Huntley has taken home the award in his career.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Linebacker Chase Hansen posted a fantastic performance against USC, earning the award. He had 11 tackles (3 for loss) and an interception, his second pick of the season. The Utah defense held USC to 3-of-14 on third down.
He won his second award of his career and season, first was during their week two win over Northern Illinois. A Utah defensive player has won the award three times this season with cornerback Jaylon Johnson winning the award against Stanford during week 8.
Special Teams Player Of The Week
Kicker Matt Gay made both of his field goals (30 and 33 yards) and all five of his extra point attempts. He won his second Special Teams Player of the Week award of the season and career, first one was from his performance against Stanford.
The Utes will take on UCLA on the road on Friday with kickoff at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
