Jazz Drop Third Straight With Loss To Lakers

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz dropped their third straight game falling to the Los Angeles Lakers 138-122.

The Jazz were led by Collin Sexton who scored 18 points.

The Lakers were led by Anthony Davis who scored 37.

With the loss the Jazz fell to 26-29 on the season.

First Quarter

The Jazz jumped out to an 11-6 start, but the Lakers responded with an 8-0 run to take a 14-11 run with seven minutes left in the first.

Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura found their offense early scoring 10 points each for the Lakers.

After back-t0-back difficult games against the Phoen9x Suns and Golden State Warriors, Keyonte George bounced back with eight first quarter points against the Lakers.

Through one the Jazz trailed the Lakers 34-28.

Second Quarter

The Lakers lead climbed to 13 as they opened the quarter on an 18-11 run.

The Jazz responded, trimming the lead to five midway through the period at 54-49.

Hachimura upped his scoring total 21 points in the first half.

At the break, the Jazz trailed the Lakers 70-69.

Third Quarter

The Jazz opened the half on a 5-0 run to take a 74-70 lead.

The Lakers bounced back building a 93-86 lead as they tightened up their defense.

Davis took over in the third scoring 17 points as the Lakers closed the period on a 12-0 run.

Through three the Jazz trailed the Lakers 108-92.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz trimmed the deficit to 12 early in the fourth, but couldn’t get any closer after consecutive missed free throws from John Collins.

Hachimura scored a career-high 36 points while Davis upped his total to 37.

Collin Sexton scored 18 points to lead the Jazz.

The Jazz fell to the Lakers 138-122.
