PROVO, Utah – Utah Jazz rookies Taylor Hendricks and Keyonte George took in some BYU basketball on Tuesday night.
BYU hosted the UCF Knights at the Marriott Center in a Big 12 Conference matchup. UCF is Hendricks’ alma mater. The former Knight averaged 15.1 points per game in his one season in Orlando before becoming a lottery pick with the Jazz.
Hendricks and George were sitting courtside alongside Utah Jazz owner and BYU alum Ryan Smith.
George didn’t attend UCF, but he’s familiar with Big 12 basketball from playing one year at Baylor last season.
Taylor Hendricks Hosts UCF For Super Bowl
Before traveling to the Marriott Center to see UCF face BYU in the Big 12 showdown, Hendricks hosted players and coaches from his alma mater to watch Super Bowl LVIII between the Chiefs and 49ers this past Sunday.
“It was cool, man, just seeing all those guys again,” Hendricks said of reconnecting with his former teammates.
The team posted photos from the gathering at Hendricks’ home on their social media pages.

In total, Hendricks said some 25-30 members of the UCF traveling roster were in attendance to eat, play video games, and watch the Super Bowl.
“I’m going to their game tomorrow when they play BYU, so just having them in Utah and for a little bit to see them, it was pretty cool.”
Hendricks’ twin brother Tyler is a sophomore for the Knights, averaging 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12 appearances.
The Jazz selected Taylor with the ninth pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
The forward is averaging 4.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 15 appearances with the Jazz this season.
