BYU Signing Day Live Tracker: Commitments, Analysis, Updates

PROVO, Utah – BYU football is getting set for what should be an eventful Signing Day.

KSL Sports will have updates throughout the day with the latest commitments, news, analysis, and updates from all the movements for BYU’s 2024 recruiting class.

BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake will address the media at 11:30 a.m. (MT). Tonight at 8 p.m. (MT), BYU Insider Mitch Harper will recap everything from Signing Day with a live broadcast on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces.

First Signing of the Day

Early in the 7 a.m. (MT) hour, the first official signing for BYU’s 2024 class is Georgia cornerback Therrian “Tre” Alexander.

West High OL stays committed to Oklahoma State

BYU made a late push for West High offensive lineman Nuku Mafi. The three-star offensive lineman took an official visit to BYU last weekend. It wasn’t enough, as he ended up signing with Oklahoma State.

Long Snapper signs with BYU

Cannon Skidmore, from Mesa, Arizona, was announced as a scholarship athlete for the Cougars.

Adney Reid is a mysterious, yet intriguing athlete

Adney Reid is a legacy recruit. He’s the son of former BYU great Gabe Reid. For the past two years, Reid has lived in Australia while his parents a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Before leaving for Australia, Reid prepped at Spanish Fork and showed enough early in his career to earn an offer from BYU.

Quarterback Noah Lugo is on the board

One hour into Signing Day

BYU has 13 letters of intent announced by 8 a.m. (MT). Those signees include Adney Reid, Devoux Tuataga, Tre Alexander, Matthias Leach, Cannon Skidmore, Tommy Prassas, Noah Lugo, Jett Nelson, Jonathan Kabeya, Sefa Brown, Enoch Watson, Ephraim Asiata, and Brody Laga.

They also announced Weber State transfer Jack Kelly.

Jay Hill sharing his thoughts on the signees

BYU defensive coordinator Jay Hill shared some of his thoughts on the newest signees that will be joining the program.

On Sefa Brown: “Love @SefaBrown this guy is nasty off the edge!”

For defensive back Matthias Leach: “Baller.”

He even weighed in on QB Enoch Watson: “Loved this guy the first time I saw him throw. Another great QB.”

On Ephraim Asiata: “Such a dynamic player. A terror off the edge!!! Let’s GO”

Hill on Adney Reid: “You want to know this guy! @adney_reid is big time!”

On Dallin Johnson: “Love the big dawgs. This is one of the strongest guys in this class!”

After Tommy Prassas signed: “this guy @PRASSAS22 is a play maker!”

On Therrian Alexander: “Ball hawk.”

After the addition of Jonathan Kabeya: “lockdown corner, punt returner, kick returner. Baller!”

On Devoux Tuataga: “Big, physical, and nasty. This guy is going to drive Big 12 offenses nuts.”

BYU adds former Utah signee Viliami Po’uha

Vili Po’uha is the son of BYU defensive tackles coach Sione Po’uha.

Timpview’s Tei Nacua continues family legacy signing with BYU

Nacua announced his commitment to BYU on National Signing Day.

Springville EDGE rusher Kinilau Fonohema gets ready for Signing Day decision

Lone Peak RM Joe Brown will be on a scholarship

Former preferred walk-on commit Joe Brown from Lone Peak High School is going to be placed on a scholarship, according to BYU OC Aaron Roderick.

Biggest recruiting win for the offense: Retention

BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick addressed the media and said the “most important thing we did in recruiting was retain our players.”

He added that Keanu Hill and Brayden Keim are both returning. Hill is going to switch from wide receiver to tight end. Keim is going to play offensive tackle.
