Utah Men’s Basketball Takes Care Of UC Riverside

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah men’s basketball hosted UC Riverside Friday night at the Huntsman Center and took care of the Highlanders.
By halftime the Utes had a solid 48 – 13 lead over the Highlanders with the final score coming in at 82 – 53 for Utah.
The Utes will be on the road the next few weeks starting with a trip to Wake Forest on Thursday, November 17. That game will tip-off at 7:00 pm MT and can be viewed on ESPNU.

Utah Men Stats Leaders
- Scoring Leader: Lawson Lovering- 18 points
- Rebound Leader: Keba Keita- 7 rebounds
- Assists Leader: Rollie Worster- 7 assists
Lovering went 7 of 11 from the paint, 1 of 2 from the three, and 3 of 3 from the line to earn his team high 18 points. Lovering was also good for seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 22 minutes of play.
Branden Carlson was second on the team in scoring with 16 total points racked up going 5 of 8 from the field, 1 of 4 from the three, and 5 of 5 from the line. Carlson added six rebounds, and three assists in 22 minutes of play.
Cole Bajema, Ben Carlson, and Keita rounded out Utah’s top scorers for the night with 13, 11, and 10 points respectively.

The Utes were 48% from the field, 35% from the three, and 77% from the line shooting against UC Riverside.
Utah collected 52 team rebounds, three blocks, three steals and 22 assists against the Highlanders.
