Taylor Hendricks Shines In Stars Preseason Debut

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz lottery pick Taylor Hendricks shined in his G League preseason debut for the Salt Lake City Stars.
The Stars fell to the Stockton Kings 124-102 to kick off the G League preseason.
The Jazz G League affiliate opens the regular season against the Santa Cruz Warriors on November 11,

Taylor Hendricks Show Promise In G League Debut
Hendricks made the most of his debut with the Stars scoring 17 points, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out two assists, and blocking three shots in 27 minutes.
The forward connected on 7-15 shooting including 2-7 from the three-point line.
The ninth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft started the game alongside Tavion Kinsey, two-way players Micah Potter and Josh Christopher, as well as fellow rookie Brice Sensabaugh.
Hendricks’s 27 minutes were the most on the team, trailed closely by Sensabaugh and Christopher who recorded 26 minutes each.

Sensabaugh struggled in his debut scoring 11 points on 3-15 shooting. The 28th overall pick added four rebounds and two assists in the loss.
Nick Ongenda who played on the Jazz summer league team was the team’s second-leading scorer with 13 points off the bench.
Christopher scored nine points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out seven assists while Potter added 10 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes.
Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh will open the season with the @slcstars.

Sunday’s loss is the only preseason contest for the Stars this season.
Their first home game of the season will be on Monday, Nov. 13 against the G League Ignite at the Maverik Center.
