MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – BYU running back Aidan Robbins found paydirt for the first time wearing royal blue during the Cougars’ game against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers hosted the Cougars at Milan Puskar Stadium (Capacity: 60,000) in Morgantown, West Virginia on Saturday, November 4.
With 6:24 left in the fourth quarter, Robbins powered his way into the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown run.
Robbins’ run got the Cougars onto the scoreboard and cut West Virginia’s lead to 37-7.

Robbins’ run capped an eight-play, 62-yard drive that took 2:57.
Following the score, Robbins had 10 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown. He also had three receptions for 31 yards.
The junior entered the game with 43 carries for 134 yards on the ground this season.

BYU vs. West Virginia
The teams enter the matchup with identical 5-3 overall records. However, the Mountaineers are 3-2 in Big 12 Conference play while the Cougars sit at 2-3 in league action.
Series History
The 2023 meeting will be the second contest between the Cougars and Mountaineers. BYU and West Virginia first played in 2016. The first meeting took place at FedEx Field, home of the NFL’s Washington Commanders. The Mountaineers defeated the Cougars, 35-32.
Prior to kickoff, ESPN Analytics gave the Cougars a 28.7 percent chance of evening the all-time series with the Mountaineers.
