MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – BYU football wasn’t a hot topic during ESPN’s College Gameday on Saturday, but there were glimpses of BYU often during the broadcast.
That’s because BYU fan Jeff Fuller made his way to the front row and, throughout the three-hour broadcast, had BYU’s “stretch Y” logo on display.

The “stretch Y” logo is what BYU wears on its football helmets.
BYU fans noticed Fuller’s efforts on social media.
Whoever is representing @BYUfootball on gameday today… YOU ROCK! I've seen BYU fans representing multiple times this year at random locations for @CollegeGameDay #GoCougs #EveryGameAHomeGame pic.twitter.com/YgY9P6OhkE

College Gameday was at Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for tonight’s matchup of Alabama vs. LSU. Fuller resides in Tuscaloosa.
Fuller is well-known on social media for his data-driven stats on conference realignment. He drew criticism from national college football writers for his projections that the Big 12 would make more per team in total distributions without Texas and Oklahoma, and he was validated as that came to fruition.
Pat McAfee noticed the BYU logo
One of the College Gameday hosts took notice of Fuller’s “Stretch Y” logo at College Gameday. That was Pat McAfee. McAfee has recently had moments where he gives love to his friends who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But this time, McAfee noticed the stretch Y because today, BYU is playing his alma mater, West Virginia.
Fuller noted that McAfee is “predicting a 24-point win” for his Mountaineers over BYU.
Apparently @PatMcAfeeShow didn’t like my BYU sign/gear at ESPN @CollegeGameDay just now 🤣

McAfee’s prediction is the only BYU/West Virginia take we heard from the College Gameday crew. The Big 12 clash didn’t make the “Saturday Selections” portion of the program.
