5A Utah High School Football Playoffs: Quarterfinals Recap

SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 5 Olympus Titans advanced to the 5A Utah High School Football semifinals with a 41-14 win over No. 4 Box Elder.
Olympus used a 28-point second quarter to take a 31-0 halftime lead. Box Elder scored two late touchdowns but couldn’t climb out of the early hole.

Titans QB Chase Mosely threw five touchdown passes, including all four second-quarter TDs in the dominating win. Ty Seagle and Caden Lloyd each finished with two touchdown grabs while Luke Bryant scored once.
Dax Sumko found the end zone twice in the fourth quarter for the Bees but it was too little, too late as Box Elder sees its season come to an end.

Quarterfinal Round Recap For 5A Utah High School Football Playoffs
No. 10 Bountiful Redhawks 36 @ No. 2 Springville Red Devils 35
Bountiful advances to the semifinals next week after surviving a frenzied second half and overtime to beat Springville 36-35.
Redhawk QB Emerson Geilman threw a touchdown to Faletau Satuala in the win. Satuala scored a second TD on the ground while Siaki Fekitoa scored three rushing touchdowns.
Springville’s Tevita Valeti threw two touchdowns to Luke Nadauld in the loss.

No. 8 Brighton Bengals @ No. 1 Timpview Thunderbirds
Timpview scored 41 first-half points, setting the stage for a 55-35 win over the Brighton Bengals.
Aisa Galea’l scored two first-quarter rushing touchdowns for the Thunderbirds. QB Helaman Casuga threw threw touchdowns with Braxton Wilkerson catching two. Ian Aloisio caught another. Haven Halliday and Taani Maksini each scored defensive touchdowns for Timpview.
