Utah Football Looking To Move On From Oregon Loss

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah football is ready to put their loss at home to Oregon over the weekend behind them as a very motivated ASU team comes to visit this weekend.
During his Monday press conference, head coach Kyle Whittingham said the Utes are determined to not let the Ducks beat them twice.
“They seemed to have us on our heels from the opening drive throughout the entire game,” Whittingham said. “We’ve got to move on, put it behind us and flush that one and respond which is what it is all about.”

Team Leadership Preparing To Rally Against Sun Devils
Utah wide receiver Devaughn Vele agreed with his coach during Monday’s media availability noting Sunday is for feeling bad if you need to, but then it’s back to business.
“I guess that is what Sunday is for,” Vele said. “You just rest and think about the game, but once Monday hits, it’s a new week. You watch film early in the morning and then we have a team meeting and all of that stuff. I think that is kind of- right after that team meeting is where it’s behind us now. Let’s move on. We have ASU to worry about.”
Bryson Barnes Has Some Familiarity With ASU’s Defense
Utah quarterback Bryson Barnes is now 5-1 as a starter for the Utes and noted he already has some familiarity with the defense ASU runs due to his first start last season against Washington State when Brian Ward was their defensive coordinator.

“They do some pretty good things,” Barnes said. “I’m not going to dive too deep into it, but Washington State’s defensive coordinator from last year is down there now. That was actually the game I played in last year and was able to prepare against him before. I’m excited for the contest.”
