SALT LAKE CITY – Every year, the NBA highlights its players with awards like Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year. Who would win each award for the Utah Jazz this season?
On the Jazz Notes podcast, Ben Anderson and Chandler Holt predict which players could win these awards for the Jazz.

Some of the awards are pretty obvious.
Lauri Markkanen will be Utah’s Most Valuable Player in the 2023-2024 season.
As the most NBA-ready of the rookies, Keyonte George will likely get the most playing time and be the Jazz’s Rookie of the Year.
On the other hand, some of the awards are up for debate.

For example, who will be the most improved player for the Jazz?
Will a sophomore player like Ochai Agbaji or Walker Kessler take a jump? Could Collin Sexton or John Collins return to a prior form this season?
“That would certainly be helpful for the Jazz,” Anderson said. “(Collin Sexton) is the second-highest-paid player on the roster. He was good about every three games last year. Can he get up to every other game he’s good or two out of three games he’s good?”

All of these questions will start to be answered tomorrow as the Jazz kick off their 2023-24 season against the Sacramento Kings in the Delta Center.
