#89 Matt Bushman’s Wife Enters Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce Conversation

SALT LAKE CITY – Emily Bushman, the wife of former BYU and current Kansas City Chiefs tight end Matt Bushman, entered the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce conversation with a post on TikTok.
This NFL season, the music superstar has attended multiple Chiefs games in support of Kelce. Swift and the NFL star are rumored to be in a relationship.
Following Swift’s appearance at one of Kansas City’s games, Bushman shared her thoughts about the couple on social media.
“My husband is No. 89 on the Chiefs and I was just thinking I bet all of the Swifties wish that Travis was No. 89,” Bushman shared. “I mean it would be pretty cool if he was, to be honest.
1989 was the title of Swift’s fifth studio album. Bushman wears the No. 89 on his jersey while Kelce sports No. 87.

The Bushmans have been married since June 2018. Like Matt, Emily was an athlete at BYU. She was part of the women’s volleyball program from 2015-18 as an opposite hitter and middle blocker for the Cougars.
Her father is former BYU and NFL tight end Chad Lewis.

The Chiefs currently own a 6-1 record. Kansas City’s next game is on the road against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, October 29 at 2:25 p.m. (MDT). on CBS.
About Matt Bushman
Prior to his NFL career, Bushman played for the Cougars from 2017-20.
He played in 39 games over his first three seasons. Bushman missed the entire 2020 season after suffering an Achilles injury.
Bushman had 47 catches for 688 yards and four touchdowns in his freshman campaign. He followed that up with a sophomore season of 29 receptions for 511 yards and two touchdowns. In his junior year, Bushman had 49 catches for 520 yards and three touchdowns. Bushman finished his college career with 125 receptions for 1,719 yards and nine touchdowns.

After going undrafted in 2021, Bushman signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.

After spending months on Las Vegas’ practice squad, Bushman was released by the Raiders in December 2021. In January 2022, Bushman joined the Chiefs. Last season, the former BYU standout helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVII.

Following Kansas City’s 2023 training camp, Bushman was waived by the Chiefs before rejoining the team as a member of the practice squad.
