Farmington Flies Past Fremont In Regular Season Finale

SALT LAKE CITY – The Farmington Phoenix flew past the Fremont Silverwolves in the regular season finale, 38-17.
Farmington Phoenix 38 @ Fremont Silverwolves 17 (Wednesday, October 11)
The Phoenix shut out the Silverwolves during the first 36 minutes of action. Farmington owned a 24-0 lead at halftime and Fremont didn’t get on the scoreboard until the final quarter. Fremont outscored Farmington, 17-14, in the fourth quarter but the Phoenix’s early lead carried them to victory. Easton Wight led the Phoenix with four total touchdowns.

Region 1
Layton Lancers 14 @ Weber Warriors 42 (Wednesday, October 11)
On Wednesday night, the Weber Warriors cruised to a big 42-14 win over the Layton Lancers. The Warriors scored a pair of touchdowns in each of the first three quarters. Layton trailed 28-6 at halftime. The Lancers scored eight points in the final quarter but the early deficit was too much for them to overcome. Nakosi Swain and Crew Carcciacarne each scored a pair of touchdowns for the Warriors.
Region 2
No. 6 Mountain Ridge Sentinels 27 @ No. 21 Bingham Miners 37 (Friday, October 13)
A big first quarter led the Bingham Miners to an upset win over the Mountain Ridge Sentinels in week ten. The game was tied going into the fourth. The Miners had a 50-yard pick-six followed by a 51-yard TD run by Chase Swensen. The fourth-quarter barrage put Bingham up by three possessions with four minutes left.
No. 25 Herriman Mustangs 24 @ No. 1 Corner Canyon Chargers 45 (Friday, October 13)
A monster third quarter propelled the Corner Canyon Chargers to a blowout win over the Herriman Mustangs. The Chargers scored six total touchdowns. QB Isaac Wilson had four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Tate Kjar pulled in two TD receptions for Corner Canyon.
Copper Hills Grizzlies 14 @ Riverton Silverwolves 35 (Friday, October 13)
The Riverton Silverwolves set the tone early with a 60-yard touchdown run just 12 seconds after the kickoff. The Copper Hills Grizzlies didn’t get on the board until Riverton had already found the end zone three times. Easton Hicks recorded three rushing touchdowns for the Silverwolves.

No. 5 Skyridge Falcons 27 @ No. 3 American Fork Cavemen 34 (Friday, October 13)
The battle of top five teams went into overtime where the American Fork Cavemen were able to get in the end zone and walk out with the victory. Dylan Story and Davis Andrews connected for the game-winning touchdown. Both Story and Skyridge QB Jackson Stevens posted three touchdown passes.
No. 8 Lehi Pioneers 35 @ No. 2 Pleasant Grove Vikings 28 (Friday, October 13)
The game between the Lehi Pioneers and the Pleasant Grove Vikings came down to the fourth quarter. With two minutes left, Kolose Latu capped off a great Lehi drive with a touchdown run. The score gave the Pioneers the lead and the win. Latu finished with three rushing touchdowns.
Westlake Thunder 7 @ Lone Peak Knights 28 (Friday, October 13)
Despite striking first, the Westlake Thunder fell to the Lone Peak Knights after going scoreless in the final three quarters. Lone Peak’s Trey Robinson had three of the Knight’s four touchdowns. All four of Lone Peak’s touchdowns came through the air.
