SALT LAKE CITY – The college football season is well underway and we saw some great players during the second week of games.

BYU Cougars
BYU blocks SUU punt amid Kelly Poppinga’s absence due to family funeral
“Moments into the second quarter against Southern Utah, BYU’s special teams unit produced the Cougars first blocked punt of the Big 12 era, and the first since 2021.
Redshirt freshman linebacker Harrison Taggart burst through the middle of SUU’s punt team to come up with the block. It was a special moment on an emotional day for BYU’s special teams unit. Special Teams Coordinator Kelly Poppinga was not at the game as he was at his nephew’s funeral in California.
