Real Salt Lake Midfielder Diego Luna Named To U-20 U.S. Youth National Team

SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake’s Diego Luna will play for the U-20 United States Youth National Team in Marbella, Spain.
The 19-year-old midfielder has played 15 games for RSL and started in three of them.

The United States will face off against France, England, and Serbia U-21 in this summer’s FIFA U-20 World Cup.
This marks the second time that Luna has been called up. He was also on the U-20 roster for January training camps.
In ten matches with the USA, Luna has posted three goals and five assists.

On Saturday, March 25, Real Salt Lake will play its second consecutive home game against the St. Louis City SC. The newest expansion team in the MLS started the season with two wins over Charlotte and Austin FC.
Real Salt Lake Loses Heartbreaker To Austin FC
Real Salt Lake lost in the home opener to Austin FC, 2-1. Justen Glad scored RSL’s one goal.
Despite leading in some key areas, Real Salt Lake found themselves trailing 2-1 at the half. RSL had four more shots and 5 total corner kicks in the first 45′. There were no goals scored in the second half.
They finished with 17 shots (6 on goal), 8 corner kicks, three saves, and 5 fouls.
