Jaxson Brenchley To Enter NCAA Transfer Portal
SALT LAKE CITY – Jaxson Brenchley has spent the past four seasons with the Runnin’ Utes and just announced he will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal as a graduate transfer.
“Utah Nation! It has been an honor to have represented the Runnin’ Utes and play for such a historic program these past four years. I’ve gained friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. I’ll be graduating this May with a major in finance and a minor in Chinese. With my remaining year of eligibility, I’ll be entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer. Thank you to my wife, family, friends, fans, teammates and especially to coach Krystkowiak and coach Smith for the support and opportunity to play at this level. I’ll always be a Ute. Much love, #5.”
Brenchley is the second Runnin’ Ute to enter the NCAA transfer portal this week with Mike Saunders Jr. entering his name on Monday and finding a new home on Tuesday with McNeese State.

Jaxson Brenchley As A Ute
Brenchley spent most of his four years at Utah as a bench player and filled the role well for the Utes.
Brenchley saw time in 92 games for the Utes through his four years. In his final season at Utah he appeared in 19 games and averaged 5.4 minutes per game. Brenchley’s biggest game this past season came against USC down the stretch where he contributed 21 minutes of play, two rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and three points to help keep Utah in the game.
Big Offseason
It will be a big offseason for Craig Smith and crew as they will be tasked with showing another round of improvement in year three at the helm. With some open roster space now, Utah will need to make strides on the recruiting trail to fill in holes while also trying to maintain key pieces of the roster from this past season.
