Utah State Football Names New Offensive Line Coach For 2023
LOGAN, Utah – Entering his third season as head coach, Blake Anderson’s coaching staff will have a decidedly different look in 2023.
Anderson announced the addition of Cooper Bassett as Utah State’s offensive line coach on Thursday, February 23.

Bassett joins the Aggies with ten years of collegiate coaching experience under his belt.
In 2022, Bassett served as the offensive line coach for the Sam Houston State Bearkats. Under his tutelage, the Bearkats rushed for 162.3 yards per contest while allowing just 18 sacks in nine game.
Before joining the Bearkats, two of Bassett’s Southeast Missouri linemen, Nate Korte and Zack Gieg, earned all-conference honors in 2021.

From 2017-20, Bassett was the offensive line coach at West Texas A&M and spent two seasons (2019, 2020) as the running game coordinator. In 2020, Bassett led a unit that led the Lone Star Conference (LSC) in third (41.4 percent) and fourth down (58.3 percent) conversion percentage, and first downs (99). The Buffs ranked eighth nationally in first downs.
Bassett played tight end and defensive line at Oklahoma State. A four-year letterwinner and senior captain, Bassett earned his bachelor’s degree in science from OSU in 2012 and a master’s in education from Missouri in 2015.
Utah State Aggies 2023 Football Schedule
The Aggies non-conference slate includes at Iowa (9/2), where USU will open the 2023 campaign. That game is followed by home games against Idaho State (9/9) and JMU (9/23), and play at UConn (9/30).

In Mountain West play, USU will host Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and Nevada. They will have road games at Air Force, New Mexico, San Diego State and San José State.
