NBA All-Star Events Friday In Utah
SALT LAKE CITY – NBA All-Star Weekend officially kicks off in Utah on Friday with the first league-sanctioned events getting underway.
The All-Star weekend will run from Friday through Sunday in Salt Lake City with ticketed and free events on each day.
Here’s a look at the All-Star events for Friday if you’re in Utah.

Ice Buckets At Trolley Square – Free Event
A 10-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City, the ‘Ice Buckets’ Challenge at Trolley Square offers fans 30 seconds to make as many shots as possible on five hoops. Tickets, merchandise, and more prizes are on the line!

The Ice Buckets are open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon-5 p.m.
Trolley Square also features a series of sit-down restaurants and casual shopping.

GRIT Rail Jam at the Gateway Olympic Plaza – Free Event
Located directly west of Vivint Arena, the Grit Rail Jam is a free event featuring some of the best snowboarders from around the planet.
On Friday, top amateurs will compete on the rails from 2-5 p.m., with the winning male and female competitors joining the pros on Saturday.

The Gateway is also offering unique pop-up shops for All-Star weekend beginning on Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
The shops include Cactus Jack, MRKT, StockX, The Webster Miami, CounterPoint, and Mitchell & Ness featuring SLAM and Thrifthood.
The Gateway also offers a dining hall, sit-down restaurants, and casual shopping.

NBA Crossover At The Salt Palace Convention Center
Tickets Required For Entry
Located two blocks east of Vivint Arena, the NBA Crossover will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center from Friday through Sunday.
The event will “engage fans in its largest footprint to date with immersive experiences, brand activations, live performances, NBA and WNBA appearances, limited edition merchandise and collectibles, art and memorabilia, apparel customization and more,” according to the league.

Tickets for the event start at $40 for adults and $20 for children under the age of 12. Fans can purchase tickets through the NBA Events app and NBAEvents.com.
The NBA Crossover will run from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. throughout the weekend.
The Salt Palace Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of Vivint Arena, City Creek Mall, and countless restaurants.

NBA All-Star Celebrity Game At Jon M. Huntsman Center
Tickets Required For Entry
The Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will tip-off at 5 p.m. at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus.
This game features two teams comprised of celebrities from around the globe competing against one another.

The Jon M. Huntsman Center is a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City and can be easily accessed using UTA Trax or by UTA Bus.

Rising Stars Challenge At Vivint Arena
Tickets Required For Entry
The NBA Rising Stars Challenge is set for Friday at 7 p.m.
This game features all of the best first-year and second-year players in the association going head-to-head.
Deron Williams, Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol drafted their teams today for 2023 Jordan Rising Stars. Each legend selected seven players from the pool of 21 NBA rookies and sophomores. Jason Terry will lead the team of seven NBA G League players.

After a format change last season, it is now a tournament-style event with scoring goals in each round. The game features 21 rookies and sophomores, and seven NBA G League Ignite players.

Crossover Concert At The Salt Palace Convention Center
Tickets Required For Entry
The NBA Courtside Crossover Concert will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center beginning at 9 p.m. and running through 1 a.m.
On Friday night, G-Eazy and Saweetie will kick off the All-Star concert series.
