Red Rocks Get Solid Road Score, Not Enough For The Win At Oklahoma

NORMAN, OK – The No. 5 Red Rocks were on the road this weekend after a successful outing at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah Meet to take on the No. 1 and reigning National Champion Oklahoma Sooners.
Stakes couldn’t be higher with the meet taking place on ESPN in front of a large national audience to check out all the action.
Unfortunately, nerves got to both teams throughout the meet, but the Sooners were better equipped to overcome their mistakes. The Red Rocks walked away from Norman with a solid road score for their season, but not the win against Oklahoma, coming up short 197.925-197.275.
#RedRocks end with another solid road score- 197.275, however, it's not enough to mark this meet as a win. Oklahoma ends the meet with a 197.925.#GoUtes

Despite some overall team mistakes, gymnasts Jaedyn Rucker and Maile O’Keefe came through on vault and beam with 9.975s with one judge viewing their performances as worthy of a perfect 10.
First Rotation: Utah Bars, Oklahoma Vault
Unfortunately, not the best bar set the #RedRocks have ever put forth and Oklahoma was absolutely on fire on the vault. Three more rotations to go and anything can happen.
