PASADENA, CA- Utah is heading to its second-straight Rose Bowl game against Penn State on January 2, 2023.

Rose Bowl Travel Weather Update As of December 29
If you are traveling to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, you will want to time your travels carefully. You will have rain most of the way into California on Saturday. By Sunday, New Year’s Day, there will be snow from Salt Lake City to Cedar City, with heavy totals in the usual mountain passes near Scipio, Beaver, Dog Valley and Black Ridge. As of right now it looks like Thursday is the best day to drive, and even if you leave early on Friday, you will be slightly ahead of the snow that will be filling in as the day goes on.

The forecast for the Rose Bowl game itself is looking good! How about mostly sunny skies, a few clouds increasing by the fourth quarter. Temperatures will generally be in the 50s for game time, dropping to the upper 40s by the fourth quarter.
