Rising Finds Parks For 57 Yards, Go-Ahead TD In Pac-12 Championship Game

LAS VEGAS – Cameron Rising and Money Parks exploded for a 57-yard connection to give the Utah Utes their first lead against the USC Trojans in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
The conference title game between the No. 11 Utes and No. 4 Trojans took place at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, on Friday, December 2.
With 10:33 remaining in the third quarter, Rising found Parks over the middle on a 3rd & 19 play from Utah’s own 43-yard line. Parks worked his way through would-be tacklers until he found open grass.
Parks ran the ball 57 yards into the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown.
The score gave Utah its first lead of the game at 24-17.

The touchdown capped a three-play, 48-yard drive that took 57 seconds.
After the play, Rising was 15/26 passing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. Parks had three receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Prior to the title game, Rising had thrown for 2,629 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this season.

Parks entered the game with 21 catches for 314 yards and a touchdown this season.
The Pac-12 Championship Game is televised on FOX.

Utah enters the matchup looking to defend its Pac-12 crown against USC, who will almost assuredly secure a spot among the four teams to compete in the College Football Playoff. It’s an intriguing contest between a pair of former Pac-12 South teams, especially after the Utes handed the Trojans their only loss of the season in October. That game took place at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
