Utah State Basketball Picked To Finish Eighth In MW Preseason Poll

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State men’s basketball program was picked to finish eighth in the Mountain West Conference preseason media poll on Wednesday.
Utah State received 96 points in the voting, five points behind seventh-place Fresno State. San Diego State was picked to win the Mountain West Conference with 16 first-place votes and 216 total points.
Wyoming was the only other team to receive first-place votes with four to go with 204 points. Boise State finished third in the voting with 166 points, followed by Colorado State with 156 points, New Mexico with 136 points, UNLV with 110 points, Fresno State with 101 points, Utah State with 96 points, Nevada with 73 points, San Jose State with 35 points, and Air Force with 35 points.

The Aggies finished last season with a record of 18-16 overall and played for an 8-10 conference record. They lost to Colorado State in the second round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament.
