SALT LAKE CITY – The Finau family, including PGA Tour golfer Tony Finau, has traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona, to cheer on Jraice Finau and Team Utah at the PGA Junior League Championship.

The competition is being held at the renowned Grayhawk Golf Club and play begins on Friday, October 7th. ESPN2 will broadcast Friday’s play, ESPN News on Saturday, and ESPN U on Sunday.

Team Utah will be looking to defend its 2021 PGA Junior League title after securing the silverware a year ago.

Jraice, 10, was not on the team a year ago, rather, his focus has shifted from basketball to golf, according to a recent Instagram post on the Finau family account.

“This time last year we were watching the PGA Junior League golf tournament on TV at home, as Team Utah captured the national championship. Jraice was 9 years old and basketball was life! Fast forward to today yo boy is a full-time golfer & has put in a lot of work this season to earn a spot on the team. Grateful to be here & these awesome experiences for Jraice. Let’s go Team Utah!”
