No. 3 Skyridge Comes Back To Beat No. 10 Lone Peak

SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 3 Skyridge Falcons edged the No. 10 Lone Peak Knights on Friday night, 31-30.

The Falcons scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to earn a one-point win over nearby Lone Peak. Tate Walker ran for two Skyridge touchdowns. With the win, the Falcons improved to a 7-1 record and the Knights fell to 4-3.

Region 1
Fremont 0 @ No. 16 Syracuse 45
The No. 16 Syracuse Titans torched the Fremont Silverwolves on Friday, 45-0. The Titans scored 35 of their total during the first 24 minutes of action. Kobe Bennett led the Titans with a pair of rushing touchdowns. With the win, Syracuse improved to a 6-2 record and Fremont fell to 2-6.

No. 5 Farmington 14 @ Davis 17
The Davis Darts upset the No. 5 Farmington Phoenix, 17-14. After the Phoenix entered the final quarter with a 14-7 lead, the Darts scored 10 unanswered points to pull the upset. Davis’ Josh Barker ran for two touchdowns in the game. With the result, the Darts improved to a 5-3 record and Farmington dropped to 7-1.
Layton 46 @ Clearfield 7
The Layton Lancers cruised to victory over the Clearfield Falcons, 46-7. Besides a Falcons touchdown in the second quarter, the entire night belonged to the the Lancers. Layton’s Braxton Martin ran for a pair of scores in the game. With the result, Layton moved to a 5-3 record and Clearield fell to 0-8.
Region 2
Taylorsville 0 @ Hunter 32
The Hunter Wolverines blanked the Taylorsville Warriors, 32-0. Hunter scored 26 of its points in the second half. Koni Tahi led the Wolverines with two rushing touchdowns. With the win, Hunter improved to a 1-7 record and Taylorsville fell to 2-6.
Granger 34 @ Kearns 24
The Granger Lancers used a second half comeback to beat the Kearns Cougars, 34-24. Granger scored 27 points over the final 24 minutes to earn its fifth win of 2022. Layton Carr tossed three touchdown passes in the game. With the win, the Lancers improved to 5-2 this season and the Cougars fell to a 2-6 record.
Cyprus 30 @ Roy 34
The Roy Royals fought off a comeback attempt by the Cyprus Pirates to win on Friday, 34-30. The Pirates scored 22 points in the fourth quarter but weren’t able to overcome a scoreless first half. Roy’s Dru Gardner tossed a pair of touchdown passes. With the result, the Royals moved to a 5-3 record and the Pirates fell to a 3-5 record.
Region 3
Herriman 14 @ No. 21 Riverton 22
The No. 21 Riverton Silverwolves beat the Herriman Mustangs on Friday night, 22-14. The Silverwolves owned a 14-0 lead at halftime before the Mustangs scored 14 points in the second half. However, the Mustangs weren’t able to overcome the deficit and the Silverwolves held on for the win. With the win, Riverton moved to a 5-3 record and Herriman fell to 2-6.
No. 15 West Jordan @ No. 23 Mountain Ridge
The No. 23 Mountain Ridge Sentinels beat the No. 15 West Jordan Jaguars, 15-7. The Sentinels entered the second half down, 7-6. Mountain Ridge scored nine unanswered points in the second half to win the game. With the win, West Jordan fell to 5-2 and Mountain Ridge improved to 6-2.
Copper Hills 7 @ No. 6 Bingham 42
The Bingham Miners crushed the Copper Hills Grizzlies, 42-7. Copper Hills was limited to a lone touchdown in the first quarter in the game. Bingham bounced out to an early 21-7 lead before adding 21 more points over the second and third quarters combined. Dallen Martinez had three rushing touchdowns for the Miners. With the win, Bingham moved to a 6-2 record and Copper Hills dropped to a 2-6 record this season.
Region 4
Westlake 14 @ No. 2 Corner Canyon 52
The No. 2 Corner Canyon Chargers captured a 52-14 victory over the Westlake Thunder on Friday. Corner Canyon scored 52 straight points in the first half before the Thunder got onto the scoreboard with a pair of second half touchdowns. Isaac Wilson tossed two touchdown passes in the game. With the result, the Chargers improved to a 6-2 record and the Thunder dropped to 2-6.

The No. 8 American Fork Cavemen blanked the No. 14 Pleasant Grove on Friday, 17-0. Champion Edwards had a pair of touchdown passes for the Cavemen. With the result, American Fork moved to a 6-2 record and Pleasant Grove fell to 5-3.
