TAMPA, FL – The weather delay for the BYU/USF game has exceeded an hour.
Moments before the stoppage went into effect, BYU players and coaches were in the tunnel getting ready to take the field to begin the 2022 season. But unfortunately, the weather in the Tampa area had other plans.

When the weather delay went into effect, everyone at Raymond James Stadium was asked to take cover while the lightning strikes happened. During the lightning strike, the rain then started to come down.
BYU and USF gathered fans in the concourses. However, most BYU fans were under the east concourse behind BYU’s bench.
From what BYU fans told me, the Coke Zero was beginning to run low on that east concourse. After a long wait for football season, the patience was growing restless.
