Desert Hills Sneaks Past Cedar Valley In Overtime

SALT LAKE CITY – The Desert Hills Thunder needed overtime and a game-winning field goal to take down Cedar Valley 31-28 at home.

The Thunder win by three points on a late OT field goal from kicker Tristin John. The Aviators entered the half with a 21-0 lead over Desert Hills but the Thunder mounted the second half comeback for the win. QB Beau Wall threw a touchdown in the win while also running in for a score.

Pleasant Grove 42 (6A) @ Green Canyon 10

The Vikings score 21-0 in the third quarter to take an advantage over Green Canyon. Vikings passer Nic Saffieri threw four touchdowns in the win. Vikings move to 1-1 on the season while Green Canyon falls to 0-2.

Juab 37 (3A) @ Cedar City 20

Alex Jackson tosses one touchdown score for the Wasps to Jayden Robinson. Gunner Nielsen, Ryker Richards, Payton Park , and Joseph Garrett all run in scores along with Ingram (first name not listed) as the Wasps get the victory.

#13 Riverton 13 (6A) @ Dixie 17

The Flyers pull the massive upset over the Silverwolves shutting Riverton out in the second half of play. Dixie went into half down 13-7 but scored 10 unanswered points in a defensive battle in the second half to get the win. Jalen Schultz and Jeffery Christian both score touchdowns for the Flyers in the win.

Logan 39 @ Juan Diego 14 (3A)

Logan avenges its week one loss to Viewmont with a win against Juan Diego. Keaton Pond throws three touchdowns in the victory. Juan Diego falls to 0-2 on the year.

Clearfield 14 (6A) @ Bear River 33

Bear River passer Ryker Jeppsen threw three touchdowns and ran for a score in the win over Clearfield. Jace Roberts received two of those touchdown passes and had a big night as well.

Payson 3 (5A) @ Mountain Crest 7

Mountain Crest wins a defensive slug fest. Kolton Kirby catches the only touchdown pass of the day from Casey Crofts. Brandon Judd kicks the lone field goal for Payson.

#24 Spanish Fork 7 (5A) @ Crimson Cliffs 35

Crimson Cliffs shut out Spanish Fork in the second half of the game to get the victory. Mustangs QB Steele Barben tosses a touchdown pass in the victory. Tyler West has a 90-yard kick return in the third quarter and Barben throws his second scoring pass of the day to Owen Peterson to close the scoring the Mustangs move to 2-0 on the year.
