BYU Football Adds Transfer Portal Defensive End As Camp Opens

PROVO, Utah – The roster movement never stops, even at the start of BYU football fall camp. BYU added a defensive end from the Transfer Portal. Logan Lutui from Weber State is the new face on the BYU football roster to open fall camp.
Logan Lutui transfers to BYU
A former Hunter High product, Lutui was part of Jay Hill’s Weber State football program for three seasons. Lutui is a 6-foot-1, 255-pound defensive end from Hunter High School in West Valley City.
He graduated from Hunter High in 2017 in the same class as fellow Wolverine grad and BYU defensive lineman Lorenzo Fauatea.

Lutui appeared in 14 games over the past two seasons for the Wildcats, recording 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.
Thanks to the COVID year during the 2020-21 academic year and a redshirt season in 2019, Lutui still has three years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.
Logan Lutui is listed as number 59 on BYU’s day one roster for fall camp.
