Clarkson Asks Question To Mitchell On Twitter, Team Store Hints At Future

SALT LAKE CITY – The drama surrounding the Utah Jazz continued with Jordan Clarkson asking a very important question to All-Star Donovan Mitchell on Twitter.
The question Jordan Clarkson asked Donovan Mitchell on Twitter was in response to reports of Mitchell’s childhood friend and former Jazzman Eric Paschall. Reports surfaced that Paschall was going to sign with a team in Europe after the Jazz didn’t extend a qualifying offer at the start of free agency.
Paschall quote tweeted the report saying “false news.”

Hours later, Mitchell responded to that tweet, “Lol they been doin that a lot recently.”

Then at 2:18 p.m. MT, Clarkson joined the conversation and asked Mitchell, “so we staying in Utah?”
Reports have been ongoing that the Jazz are in deep discussions with the New York Knicks for Donovan Mitchell. A potential move of the Jazz All-Star could be a domino effect where the team unloads most of the veteran players on the roster. That could mean a potential move for Clarkson. Of course, it’s all speculation at this point.
KSL Sports’ Sam Farnsworth was at Vivint Arena to check out some of the Jazz gear and noticed they had a clearance rack for “former players.” The jerseys hanging on that rack are Mitchell’s No. 45. It would make sense of Mitchell’s jerseys to be on the clearance rack since the Jazz unveiled new uniforms before Salt Lake City Summer League. But the rack says “former players.” That raises even more questions on whether Mitchell will remain with the Jazz or not.

The following day, Farnsworth added to the social media post with a photo showing the jerseys being put back on the “current players” rack.

Mitchell has been silent on social media in regards to the future. He hasn’t made any statements or reacted to any reports of whether or not he actually requested a trade from the Jazz.
Clarkson has become a fan favorite in Utah since he arrived on December 23, 2019. The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Clarkson to the Jazz in exchange for Dante Exum and two future second-round picks.
